Tiny teeth Surathkal is located on the main road as you enter Surathkal from Mangaluru. Though primarily a children’s dental clinic, it also caters to the dental treatment of the entire family. In addition to all the children’s dental treatments, there are facilities and a separate treatment section for all Adult dental treatments as well. The clinic has been designed with a child friendly ambience to help make dental treatment pleasant and comfortable for children.
A designated play area, child friendly colour themes and a ceiling mounted TV playing animations are intended to put the children at ease before and during the dental treatment. Tiny Teeth Surathkal also incorporates an up to date infection control protocol

Dr. Ashwin Rao completed his Master of Dental surgery, in Pediatric Dentistry from the prestigious Manipal Academy of Higher Education in 2005. He received the “Vidya Tandon Memorial Gold Medal” for the best outgoing post graduate student award from the department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal. for the year 2005-06.
He started his practice at Surathkal in 2007. He strives hard at making dentistry comfortable for children. He is especially competent at administering injections (necessary for extractions and root canal treatments) painlessly to children. Most of his guest lectures and research work focus on the painless delivery of dental treatment to children.
Dr. Ashwin Rao is also very passionate about teaching and research in the field of Pediatric Dentistry.. He is the Associate Professor in the Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore and has been voted the best teacher by the students of the institution on two occasions.
Dr.Ashwin Rao has also coauthored a very reputed textbook in Pediatric Dentistry titled “Contemporary Treatment Techniques in Pediatric Dentistry” by Springer publications.
